The Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council will be conducting its seventh trip to China. Over 850 youth and adults from around the U.S. have tour China with the Council. This special opportunity for clergy, congregation and service club members, their families and friends will take place from October 14-22, 2010 .
The trip includes round trip international air fare, 4 or 5 star hotel stays, double occupancy, three meals each day except one dinner on your own, deluxe bus tours, English speaking tour guides, admission to tourist spots and airport tax throughout the trip for the price of $1,999. Single room for the entire trip is available at additional $450, Business Class upgrade on International flights is $4,500 RT +/-.

INTERFAITH COUNCIL MISSION TO CHINA, 2010 ITINERARY
October 14, Day 1 - Los Angeles/Beijing
Board a convenient charter bus in the morning, and travel to Los Angeles International Airport for an afternoon flight MU586 by 1:30pm to Beijing. Your adventure begins as you fly trans-Pacific aboard a wide cabin jetliner. Cross the International Dateline.
October 15, Day 2 – Beijing - Crowne Plaza Sun Palace/5star, 12

Arrive in Beijing, the Capital of China at 11:55pm after a stopover in Shanghai. You will be met by your local tour guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel..
October 16, Day 3 - Beijing
In the morning visit the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 A.D., where the emperors prayed to the heaven for a good harvest. Tour bus excursion to the Great Wall, the 4,000- mile long and 2,000 years old construction is said to be the only man-made structure visible by naked eye from the moon. Enroute visit the Jade Factory. Visit to the Ming Tombs, one of 13 Ming Emperors' Tombs is fully excavated and open for exploration. Enjoy the Chinese Acrobatic Show.
October 17, Day 4 - Beijing
Sightseeing includes Visit the Tian An Men Square, the largest square in the world. The Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City, home of 24 emperors with a total space of 9,999 rooms,. Visit the Pearl Market. The Summer Palace, known for many significance such as the Long Corridor with painted gallery, Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill, Seventeen- Arch Bridge and Marble Boat. October 18, Day 5 - Beijing/Shanghai/Suzhou - Holiday Inn

October 19, Day 6 - Suzhou/Hangzhou - Holiday Inn Xiaoshan

Morning visit the Suzhou Silk factory. Continue the tour with the centuries old Lingering Garden. Afternoon visit to the National Embroidery Institute to see silk embroidery, an important local craft with 1,000 years history. Take a bus riding to Hangzhou. Visit to the Economic Development Zone.
October 20, Day 7 - Hangzhou/Shanghai -Crowne Plaza Hotel

Morning boat cruise on West Lake with relaxing stopover at jewel-like pagodas. Visit the Longjing Green Tea Plantation. Visit to the centuries old Lingyin Temple, with the main feature of the 64.3 ft-high camphor-wood carved Buddha. Continue the bus journey to Shanghai.
October 21, Day 8 - Shanghai
The Bund, a famous waterfront park. Visit the Shanghai Silk Rug Factory. Afternoon enjoy the Yu Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, rocky works and over arching trees. October 22, Day 9 - Shanghai/Los Angeles
You may spend your final hours in China on your own in the morning. Afternoon flight MU583 will depart by 2:55pm for Los Angeles where you will arrive at 11:30am on the same
